Description
It happened on a sunny day of May in the bloody year 1865, somewhere in the hunting grounds of the Southern Cheyennes which the Ve'hoes had come to call Colorado territory.
Ánoe'ke (aka Hawk Woman), Hetoke'e (aka Star Woman), Hurls the Thunder Woman (don't know what the proper pronounciation in Tsitsista is, sorry) and a few other woman warriors saw a stagecoach appear from the east, obviously bound for the place where the Ve'hoes who were digging up the ground for the yellow metal lived and which they called Denver.
They were surprised that those Veh'hoes still had the cheekiness to send their wagons across their land. After the Sand Creek massacre of the month of the freezing grass they had all gone on the warpath and had destroyed all Veh'hoe dwellings across the land of the Hotamitaniu. That wagon had passed through hundreds of miles of scorched earth. Not bad, actually. But still they couldn't let them get away with that.
They would stop the wagon and search it. If the Ve'hoes dared to resist, they would get a fight.
And thus the usual procedure ensued. Instead of stopping at their calls, the driver started to frantically whip the horses and the Ve'hoe next to him fired a few poorly aimed shots into their direction. Five minutes later and a mile further west the guy hung heels over head like a porcupine from the driver's seat.
The driver scrambled down, his hands high in the air and stammered some unintelligible stuff, probably pleading for his life. The overall disposition to spare his sorry ass for the time being grew considerably when he opened the chuck at the rear of the wagon and produced real masses of the most wonderous things: Hats, lady-like caps, lavishly stitched dresses and loads of Ve'hoe style mocassins.
The women started to help themselves and soon the ground around the wagon was littered with fancy Ve'hoe stuff.
Ánoe'ke discovered a pair of most strangely looking mocassins. They seemed to have something like leather-coated spear tips under their heels. Instantly she remembered her recurring dream in which she saw herself walking from victory to victory on spear tips. This was what her dream had been telling her all the time! why don't you create another poser scene with Hawk Woman and Star Woman looting a Stagecoach, and the two surviving blonde young ladies - stripped to underwear - show them how to wear properly dress and female boots ?
